It’s October Holiday in China, which means that the whole country has a couple of days off and is now picknicking in parks.
We went to the Wild Goose Pagoda, which is a park a close by our house. It features an old tower, not surprisingly named ‘the Wild Goose Pagoda’.
It also features a brand-spanking new mall, that used this time to promote itself by having a whole park lane hired off and setting up foodstands there. There must have been tens of thousands of people in the park and I think they all went over to those stands for some quick food, so it was a good idea.
We had fish-on-a-stick, squid-on-a-stick and pigeon-on-a-stick. The fish was good, the pigeon was good, but the squid wasn’t completely done and kind of slimy and icky.
