Bella and I went to the local aquarium yesterday, the grandiosely named “Qujiang Ocean World”. It was awesome.
In its crappiness. I meant awesome in its crappiness.
A few dozen aquariums with a few dozen kinds of fish, and otherwise nothing but dried fish on display and fake plastic trees, animals and plants positioned any which place just to fill up the building a bit.
It was like somebody had gone to some kind of giant discount store for this kind of crap and said: “I’ll take it all.” There were big plastic statues of dinosaurs, zebra-dolls placed in the rainforest department and finally a couple of aliens – aliens – in the Antarctic display.
